"Four Letter Word," the latest song from ex-Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye, seems to get a few digs at Gallagher's brother and other Oasis bandmate, guitarist Noel Gallagher. Among the lyrics are lines like "Ahhh, you've had enough / Of staring out of dead-end eyes," "Nothing ever lasts forever" and others, with Liam also snarling, "I don't recognize what it is I'm feeling / A 4 letter word really gets my meaning.
- Beady Eye released a old song, "Bring The Light," last month.
- Both tracks are from the band's debut disc, Different Gear, Still Speeding, which will be released in the U.K. in February. A U.S. arrival date has yet to be announced.
- Beady Eye, which features three other ex-Oasis members in gain to Liam, will run its first live gigs next March.
- Oasis came to an abrupt end in August 2009, after a fight backstage in Paris between the Gallaghers. Noel quit the set a day after and has since just made a few solo appearances.
