Psychosis website achieves Information Standard

mentalhealthcare.org.uk, the site for class members and friends of mass with psychosis, has been granted the Data Standard.

Developed by the Section of Health, the Data Standard `quality mark` aims to assist members of the world easily identify trustworthy information, and grant them confidence in what they read.

To be capable to show the mark, organisations have to undergo a rigorous certification process and prove that they get data that is accurate, impartial, balanced, evidence-based, accessible and well-written.

The Data Standard has been awarded to the Section of Psychology at the Plant of Psychiatry, King`s College London, for mentalhealthcare.org.uk*. Professor Elizabeth Kuipers, head of the department, led the launching of the place in February 2010 and continues to be in point of its ongoing development.

The place was redeveloped with the aid of a Wellcome Trust public engagement grant and since its launch eight months ago, has been visited by more than 56,000 people. Around 42,000 of them have viplaced the site for the 1st time, the remainder have returned for more information.

Other mental health professionals employed by Shot and early researchers at the IoP voluntarily give their sentence to help make and update the data on the site.

There are too short, filmed clips of experts from both the IoP and SLaM talking about different aspects of psychosis.

The Data Standard was awarded to mentalhealthcare.org.uk in September 2010 for a three-year period, and thither will be an annual one-day inspection to make certain the situation continues to comply with the scheme`s strict criteria.
