This fishing tournament claims to be The World`s Funnest Fishing Tournament, but you may need to number and judge yourself. It`s fishing by day and parties by night at Shake-A-Leg in Coconut Grove. Grove SLAM!
is fun for fisherman families, and fish-friendly friends that passion a full time.
How to get there: Take I-95 South until it ends and merges with US-1. Continue on US-1 to SW 27th Avenue, make a left. Continue on 27th avenue until it ends as South Bayshore Drive, make a left. Continue for 3 blocks and Shake-A-Leg will be on your right.
FRIDAY April 29, 2011 Photo & Race Day
This is your prospect to get some incredible photos of your boat while active in a short friendly competition. Our photographer and helicopter will be in the air to get the moment. If you are leaving to enter in this case you must pre-register by calling our office.

SATURDAY April 30, 2011
6:00 a.m.
Check-Out Begins - Dinner Key Channel (see chart)
Teams begin to check-out with the committee boat. Boats may NOT allow the country until the official start time has been announced over channel 82.
7:00 a.m.
Fishing Officially Begins
The official start will be proclaimed on VHF 82. Teams may provide the region and go fishing.
3:30 p.m.
Bars Open, hors d`oeuvre served
3:30 p.m.
Star-Brite Boat Wash opens. Come on land and get your free boat wash.
3:30 p.m.
Fishing Officially Stops
Boats must stop fishing upon the "lines-out" call.
5:00 p.m.
Weigh-Station Closes
All fish to be weighed MUST be in before the end of the weigh station. No exceptions.
5:30 p.m.
Awards Ceremony Begins
6:00 p.m.
Miss Grove SLAM! Bikini Contest begins (see last year`s pics)
