Step! Grand Slam Baseball - Rave and Review

Get Out and PLAY EventDay 25

Playing ball is a ritual of passing around here. As farsighted as I can recall my home has been fans of baseball. Not the form that takes aim at a stadium {although we do wish that, too}, but rather the sort that takes space in the backyard, the park, and sometimes, in our living room. For us, baseball is some more than playing - Its a big way to run on hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and teamwork, amongst other things.

Grand Slam Baseball So, now that I've got two little ones myself, I want to get them cook for playing ball with their cousins and friends. While my daughter might be a girly girl most of the time, she definitely has inherited both her parents' love of ball, and we knew we required to get her some age appropriate gear to love this summer. Of line we turned to Step2, the makers of our favorite outdoor play equipment, to aid us feel a way to assist in education the fundamentals of baseball. Their new Step2 Grand Slam Baseball is like having a kid appropriate batting cage/"catch" partner/and net all in one and it's a large choice for beginner on up.

Catching BallThe purpose of the Grand Slam Baseball is fairly simple, it's only a medium sized foldable and repositionable net, a hard duty plastic ball "pitcher", a plastic bat and three squishy balls, but the skills they get off from the game is anything but. Depending on age and ability, you can cut your back to fit your little one easily while making the acquisition process fun.

PTRU1-9317068_alternate3_regFor our daughter who recently turned 3, we started with the most basic exercise: throwing the 3 foam balls into the net over and over again. When she was ready, we turned the Grand Slam Baseball on and she was thrilled with the whoooshing sound it made and still more so when the balls that made it into the net sailed back to her. When we had been running on that for a while, we introduced the included plastic bat for her to try hitting the balls as they were pitched.

Step2 BaseballWhile her aim is not the best yet and doesn't do it into the net all that often, she has a blast playing with the Grand Slam Baseball and looks ahead to every chance to have it outside. For now the freshness of having us take the grasshopper and set it to pitch to her is enough, but I am mad about all the ways it can produce with both kids throughout the years. As she develops her aim and then works on her batting, the punt will get still more fun for her and for us.

I feel myself getting excited about bringing it out about as often as she does. Its actually fun to try and change things up by choosing between ground balls and arcing pitches and varying where we stand or what games we play alone and as a family, and its not difficult to cut the games to each players ability. I acknowledge I would make loved to have it to play "catch" with when I was young and couldn't find somebody who wanted to meet with me, and it would have been very nice to get as I practiced my swing, which has ever been a little . Let's just say "wild".

By Step2 Grand Slam Baseball The Step2 Grand Slam Baseball is the perfect instrument for developing your child's coordination, aim, dexterity, and more, as good as being merely a solid lot of fun for the whole family. Its a great warm weather toy that is portable enough to close and make into your body and ask to a green or playdate, as good as being a big backyard toy for all ages of children.
