The conclusion of the 3rd round matches take post on Day Seven at The French Open, Roland Garros today. It is the 2nd grand sweep of the year later the Australian Open earlier in the year.

Day 6 saw a massive impact in the Womens singles, number 1 seed Caroline Wozniacki was thwarted by Daniela Hantuchova in square sets with Wozniacki picking up only 4 games. Last years runner up Samantha Stosur was also knocked out by the unseeded Gisela Dulko in three sets. Francesca Schiavone last years success and Svetlana Kuznetsova the winner in 2009 both qualified through to the 4th round. There was besides a straight sets win for Roger Federer and a thrilling 5 set match where Stanislas Wawrinka came from 2 sets down to get Jo-Wilfred Tsonga. Juan Martin Del Potro and Novak Djokovics match had to be stopped due to bad light with the tie at 1 set all.

Day 7 will see the end of the 3rd round catches with Juan Martin Del Potro and Novak Djokovic finishing off their match from yesterday tied at 1 set all. Also competeing will be defending mens champions Rafael Nadal and the 2009 runner up Robin Soderling. In the womens draw Maria Sharapova will bring her 3rd round match and the figure 4 seed Victoria Azarenka. The French will be hopeful Gilles Simon can occur through his check with Mardy Fish.
