Glam Slam: Get Anne Hathaway`s Oscar Beauty
March 1, 2011

Kudos to Anne Hathaway! Hosting the Oscars is major and I was impressed with all of her wardrobe, hair and makeup changes throughout the show.

She set the glamorous tone for the night when she hit the rug in an absolutely stunning signature red vintage Valentino gown, paired with bright lips and free up-do.

I met both her makeup artist and hairstylist today when they appeared on our morning show Access Hollywood Live and here is how they created her gorgeous red carpet look.

MAKEUP
WHO: Chanel Celebrity Makeup Artist Kate Lee

INSPIRATION: Kate describes this aspect as "New Hollywood" as opposed to "Old Hollywood." Anne Hathaway was the youngest individual ever to host the Oscars - she knew they were creating history! Everything about her was young, fresh and new Hollywood.

HOW TO:
"The look was centered around a thin black lined eye with a defined socket and a deep rose lip stain. For the lips - the trick is to get a scrape with the lipstick by applying the lipstick, blotting the lips with blotting paper and repeating this step. Then, to get a matte look, I lightly powdered the mouth. On her lips, I used CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Gloss in Rivoli and lightly powdered over her address for a matte effect. In between changes I used By Terry Rose Salve to remove lip colors and keep lips fresh."

"For a base, I used CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup in Limpide, which I used throughout the show. For concealer, I used Kanebo Brush Type Concealer in CB 1 Light. To produce a new glow on her cheeks, I used CHANEL Powder Blush in Fresque and defined cheekbones with Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium. I created a dim line created with Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel liner in Black Ink. For the eye, a serious deception is to trace the eye with a cake liner using an angled brush and filling up and over the line with a cotton tip. The eye socket was defined with Illamasqua Powder Eye Shadow in Truth and I applied CHANEL Inimitable Mascara in Noir."

HAIR
WHO: Frederic Fekkai Celebrity Stylist Adir Abergel

INSPIRATION: A new field of an Edwardian influenced style accented with a bohemian flair; a soft, loose style with beautiful shine.

HOW TO:
Begin by parting the hair down the centre and apply Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip to the hair from roots ends. Blow-dry the hair using Fekkai Round Brush. Next, pull hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, making sure to cover the ears. Then reverse the ponytail into a loose knot. The key is keeping it light for a line of bohemian flair. It`s about like a draping around the subject with wispy pieces of hair coming out softly. Finish the construction by spraying the Fekkai Coiff™ Sheer Hold Hairspray.
